Hello blog, guess what!! April 4 was my birthday!!! I'm 20 now, which is TERRIFYING?? but also exciting. Sure I'm sad that my teenage years are over but who knows what awaits me in my twenties?? I can't wait to find out what life has in store for me.
20 is a milestone so I celebrated A LOT. It was almost a whole week of celebrating!! I hung out with my friends on wednesday, then on thursday we went to see the minecraft movie and wore these mob heads I made :) It sucked ass but we had a blast. I was NOT expecting all the old man yaoi sexual tension between jack black's steve and whatever the hell jason momoa's character was but I'm not mad about it either. Look how cool we looked!! I dare you to guess which one I am (hint: the color of literally everything on this site lolol).
Then friday was my actual birthday, I had dinner at my mom's house. She made pizza. Not homemade pizza, frozen pizza of a specific brand that I loved when I was little n it tasted like childhood and pure unadulterated JOY. 
Mom n I are really getting along now that I've moved out n we're both in college n stuff n I couldn't be happier about it. I used to pray for a life like this. My favorite person in the world aka my baby brother was there n he apparently had been talking about me coming over all day long. I would kill for this annoying sticky child. My step sibling was there too. I couldn't stop thinking about how cool it was to see them grow. I've known them since they were 6, they're 14 now n have become such an awesome, funny, creative person. I don't see them much but I'm thankful for the moments we do spend together. For example this time we used the 2 minutes we were left unsupervised to paint a mustache and unibrow on our little brother's face with mascara. Just bc I turned 20 doesn't mean I've actually grown up.
On saturday my friends n I went bowling. Apparently last time I played was a case of beginner's luck bc this time around I got my ass handed to me X_x Oh well. Still had fun! 
After that we went to a mexican restaurant n obliterated an absurd amount of tacos & cocktails in a disturbingly short amount of time. And since that wasn't enough to satiate our monstrous hunger we went for ice cream right after n ate it by the riverside. Herbert drove us around on his minivan n we all got to stick our heads out the sunroof, me for a bit longer bc it was my birthday. We obv musicalized the trip too. Can you imagine operating a vehicle packed with 8 people screaming Abba songs at the top of their lungs? Herbert was LOCKED IN, I would've crashed prob. Luckily we didn't crash n went to eat our ice cream by the riverside. Apparently the riverside at 1 am is a popular place for couples bc there was one in a nearby car having sex o_O I'm p sure we scared them off bc they left soon after. Sorry random couple!! Also my friends got me colored pencils + inking pens. I was BEAMING!! my friend group never gets gifts for each other bc we're used to not having money lol so it was a beautiful surprise. I luv my friends.
On sunday I celebrated with my family on my dad's side. We're one of those families that has get togethers nearly every weekend n I'm very thankful for that. My dad grilled (shoutout dad) n my nonna tried a new cake recipe. She said it didn't turn out well at all but we all liked it anyways. 
I got money from my grandparents and I used it to buy soo many clothes!!! I somehow managed to find an original von dutch cap + pink aeropostale sweats that perfectly match my hoodie n together they look like a tracksuit. I should rlly get to work on my wardrobe page so u can see em... maybe u will soon.
