My first week of my second year of college is officially over. God I am EXHAUSTED. My schedule is horrendous. I only have 2 hours of class on thursdays and fridays but on mondays and wednesdays I have to be in campus for 10 HOURS!!!! PLUS 3 HOURS OF TRAVEL!!!!!!! 13 HOURS!!!!!!!! GIVE ME BIGGER NUMBERS!!!!! 13!!!!!!!! Wednesdays are especially terrible because I get to class at 7:50, have a grand total of 2 hours of class, and then have to stay there for 6 hours doing nothing until my next class. I can't go home because I live an hour and a half away and it would just be wasting money and energy. But overall I'm happy. I missed this, I missed the train and eating chipa at the station and taking godawful notes and standing next to the door for ages talking with people and petting Schwa the college cat!!! I'm happy to be back. To me this is one of those places where the moment you first set foot on them you know that's where you belong. This is my place.
I got to see my college buddies again. I don't know if I can call them friends yet but we might get there this semester. We're all in separate classes now but I still get to see most of them at least once a week. For privacy reasons, people from college are called font names. The first day was exhausting but I spent the afternoon hanging out with Georgia, Tahoma and Helvetica, and on Wednesday I had an incredibly long and enlightening conversation with Helvetica where we decided I would watch the entire Twilight saga and take notes like a scientist. I really like all these people. Everyone is so different and awesome in their own unique ways. I really regret not being more outgoing last year. I usually am but back then I was going through stuff and didn't really have the mental energy to make friends :( so now I'm a little behind, but I don't let that stop me. This year is gonna be different. Every day I'm closer to being the person I always wanted to be and nothing is gonna set me back now. We're BLOSSOMING in 2025!!!!!
I'm liking my new classes so far. Phonetics II is my current fave (tho it might not be for long bc it looks like it's going to get tough). I didn't love the professor at first bc they were reallyyyyy strict about punctuality, but they're actually great at teaching and they're pretty funny too. I was super invested in the class but I left with my brain hurting from all the new info. What I'm mostly concerned with is Grammar I. It's the second time I'm taking this class, it's insanely difficult and a ton of people in my class failed it. If I fail it again I'm gonna be super behind bc it's a required class for most other classes so I'm a little terrified. But since I have to stay in campus for ages this semester I'll have a lot of time to study for it. There's also Spanish II, which I haven’t fully decided a schedule for yet. I could have it on monday mornings and have long ass days, or have it on thursday afternoons with some of my other buddies including my college bestie Wingdings with whom I don't share any other classes. The problems with thursdays are that a. the professor goes at the speed of light (maybe even faster) while the monday professor goes at a reasonable pace, and b. I'd have to drop out of the monday Spanish II class but since both classes are full I might not get a spot in either of them on the second inscription date. So idk. My plan for now is staying on the Monday class and maybe visiting on Thursdays if I'm lost or bored or whatever. It's not like illegal or anything. They can't stop me.
I think I'm gonna have to drop Italian though. It's just too inconvenient and I'm not even sure I want Italian as my certified third language. I mean, I still like it and want to learn but I think I might wanna take Japanese instead. With Japanese I could potentially get a job at Ivrea, aka my FAVORITE Manga publisher. I don't even like manga very much, I've only read like 3 tomes of assassination classroom when I was 12. But the only thing I love more than translating stuff to spanish is LOCALIZING stuff to Argentinian Spanish and that's exactly what Ivrea does. People either adore them or despise them for it, personally I'm the former. If I had a job there I'd be the happiest person in the country methinks.
Anyways I'm gonna stop yapping for today. Now that I have to clock in everyday instead of just hanging out in my living room all day I'm not gonna be updating this site as fast as before but I'll try to keep working on it as much as possible!! Bye bye bye bye xxxx
