Emma

Emma is very friendly and talkative. She's very extroverted and can strike up a conversation with anyone, but she's probably gonna be the one doing most of the talking. She's very energetic and enthusiastic about her interests, so much so that her energy can be overwhelming to those around her. She feels emotions very strongly and sometimes she can be quite dramatic.

She was never afraid of being perceived as weird but she did feel misunderstood most of the time, especially by her family, and secretly felt like an outcast. That's part of the reason why she felt more at home online.

Theodore

Emma is Theodore's long time roommate and best friend. They met when Emma died and they quickly became friends as Theodore was very glad to finally have some company from another ghost.

Though they argue sometimes, Theodore looks up to Emma and sees her as an older sister. He loves listening to her stories, theories and headcanons even though at first he had no idea what any of them meant. But since they literally had all the time in the world, Emma explained everything he asked about as thoroughly as possible. So all of Theo's understanding of history, pop culture, media, technology and the contemporary world in general comes from Emma.

Similarly, Emma sees Theodore as a little brother. She's also turned him into her de facto beta reader and has him give her feedback on her fanfiction, a role he takes very seriously.

They've also adopted a lot of each other's lingo, making them nearly unintelligible to outsiders.

Grace

Emma shares a lot of the same interests Grace had as a teenager and she reminds her of her younger self in a lot of ways, so Grace understands her and empathizes with her a lot. Although they butt heads a lot of the time.

Emma can get frustrated at Grace's ground rules and say she doesn't let her have any fun. Grace is firm but also very understanding so they always end up reaching an agreement.

They have very different social battery levels and Grace is sometimes overwhelmed by Emma, but they still get along. Emma encourages Grace to let loose and step out of her comfort zone and Grace helps Emma be more grounded and responsible.

Talking with Emma often makes Grace reminisce about her old fandom days and they can spend ages nerding out together. This has made Grace reconnect with her inner child in a way, and be less afraid of talking about her interests.
